About Asana and pricing

As more teams/businesses move toward remote, hybrid and flexible working, having a clear system for managing work is no longer optional or something nice to have. This is where Asana steps in and has become one of the most trusted platforms for helping teams stay aligned, organised and productive, no matter where they are based.

We see Asana used by early stage startups, fast growing scaleups and large global companies. That range tells you a lot about the product, it is simple enough to adopt quickly, but powerful enough to scale with real complexity.

Is it right for your needs, well only you can answer that but we do aim to help make that answer easier for you to make.

What Asana actually helps you do

At its core, Asana helps teams manage projects, tasks, priorities and deadlines in one place. It gives founders visibility into what is happening across the business without relying on endless meetings, spreadsheets or message threads.

You can plan work, assign ownership, track progress and remove blockers before they become problems. For any business especially those that have growing teams, that clarity can be invaluable.

One of the things we like most about Asana is how easy it is to get started, you can explore the platform on a free plan, understand how it fits your business and only upgrade when you are ready. When you do move to Asana Advanced, you unlock automation, reporting and AI driven workflows that save time and reduce operational friction as teams grow.

Why this startup offer matters

Asana for Startups

We love a company who support startups and Asana understands this because it was built by people who have been through that journey themselves. That is why the Asana for Startups program exists and why its one of our favourite.

Offering six months of Asana Advanced for free is not just generous, its practical. It allows founders to build proper systems, extend runway and improve team efficiency without adding early cost pressure.

From our experience at FounderPass, this offer has helped many startups move from messy processes to structured, scalable operations.

A truly global platform

Asana is headquartered in San Francisco and supports millions of free users and over 135,000 paying organisations across more than 200 countries. It is widely used across the UK, US, Europe, Australia and Asia.

That global adoption gives confidence that the platform is stable, supported and built for long term use.

Slack integrations

Asana connects with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, HubSpot and many others. This means you can keep your workflows connected rather than fragmented. For founders, this matters, tools should reduce complexity, not add to it.

Our honest view

From one founder to another, Asana is one of those platforms that quietly becomes essential once your team grows beyond a handful of people. It brings clarity, accountability and structure without making work feel rigid.

For full transparency though, we as a business don't use it, mainly as we feel we are a small enough team that we have other tools that cover this, but it is something we would consider when we grow.

Asana alternatives

Although Asana is used by many companies, it may not always be right for your needs, thats why we've popped a few other options below for you to look through in case these may be more suitable.
